Croatia & Slovenia
For the last 3 years we've been trumpeting the news that Croatia & Slovenia are the Countries that should be next on your list to visit if you've never been. Obviously if you have been already you won't need any persuading about going back, just enlightening possibly about some of the places to visit and sights to see that you may not have yet thought of.

Slovenia
One of the latest Countries to join the EU, the Tolar is stilljust as acceptable as the Euro in most places. Whilst most people will be aware of picturesque Bled and its wonderful Lakeside setting, they probably won't be familiar with it's neighbouring mirror lakeside Bohinj as a base for walking & adventure holidays.
Skiers will have heard of Kransjka Gora but the Julian Alps are much more than just one Town. Just as Ljubljana is more than just a normal capital city. (Anybody heard of Jason & The Argonauts - you will if you visit Ljubljana).
Whilst having one of the smallest coastlines in Europe (sandwiched between Italy & Croatia), it's still possible to combine Sea & Mountains in a Fly-Drive. On route we'll make sure you see the famous caves of Postojna, (the 2nd largest in the World), where you enter by train and on route see some very rare human fish, (translucent, no eyes, only eat every 3 months). We'll also pay a visit to Lipica, one of the homes of the famous Lipizzaner Horses, where you'll have the chance to see them being schooled.
We've lots more ideas for fly-drives, but if that doesn't appeal, how about a break at one of Slovenia's famous spas. It's most famous (and most expensive) is Terme Catez which lies near the Croatian/Slovenian Border and is ideally situated for a twin stay with Zagreb. Ideal for all the family, there's something for everybody at a spa no matter what the weather.
Our favourite spa is Terme 3000, situated at Moravske Toplice on the Hungarian/Austrian Borders, it's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding sites or alternatively a place to just relax, have fun and let those hot and steamy pools do the rest.
